Historical venues
Lidhja e Prizrenit (The League of Prizren)
The League of Prizren House is a museum in Prizren, Kosovo, marking the 1878 founding of the Albanian League of Prizren. It symbolizes Albanian national unity and has been rebuilt in traditional style after being destroyed in 1999. Nowadays it serves as a museum and can be visited during the weekdays and holds artefacts, painting collections and memorabilia from the XIX century.
Stone Bridge (Ura e Gurit)
Bridges define the architectural breed of Prizren, so check out the Stone Bridge, right at the heart of the city. Belonging to the 16th century, this ottoman style bridge has become a staple of the city. It was rebuilt after the floods of the ‘80s and still nowadays connects the city underneath which passes the Lumbardhi river.
The Fortress of Prizren
You can see it from any point of view in the city, but the view from the Fortress of Prizren is mythical and unmatched. Just as you pass by DokuKino, take the road up high, and follow the steep path directing you immediately to one of the most remarkable and well kept landmarks in the city. From medieval times up to now this fortress has overcome many rulerships in this city that has historically connected West and East.
The Church of Our Lady Ljevis
The 14th century Orthodox Church right in the centre of Prizren, is known for its remarkable frescoes depicting animals and floral settings.
The Mosque of Sinan Pasha
Prizren is quite known for its numerous mosques. Just in the city centre perimeter there are more than 15 mosques, which you can visit, but just a few steps from Shadervan you can take a look at Sinan Pasha Mosque, belonging to the 17th century.
The Ethnological Museum
Housed in the historic House of Musa Shehzade, a renovated late‑18th/19th‑century Ottoman urban residence in Prizren’s old town. It presents over 2,000 artifacts, traditional clothing, textiles, filigree jewelry, household tools, weapons and furniture, from Kosovarian life spanning the 18th to early 20th centuries.
The Church of Sveti Spas / Saint Saviour
Built in the 1300s, this church which is now revitalized and protected by Unesco, is one of the architectural gems of Prizren. On your way to Prizren’s castle find the pathway that directs immediately to the church and while at it enjoy the astonishing view of the city from up.
Catholic Church of Prizren / Museum of Mother Theresa
The Mother Teresa Museum in Prizren is a small, modern space near the Catholic Cathedral, honoring her life and legacy through photos, documents, and exhibits. Opened in 2025, it stands on the street where her parents once lived.
Cultural Spots
Autostrada Hangar
The Autostrada Biennale Education, Production and Exhibition Space, the Autostrada Hangar, is located in the The Innovation and Training Park in Prizren. Through education, onsite training, and an open exhibition-making production space, Autostrada Hangar aims to develop new models of cultural creation that encourage young people to become part of the art-making process by producing and thinking critically through art. Right now, Autostrada Biennale with its main residence at Hangar is hosting the fifth edition of the Biennale under the title Unfolding Currents: The pulse of time, curated by Erzen Shkololli.
Pykë-Presje
Pykë-Presje is an independent platform working mainly with printed matter and running an independent cultural space and bookshop in Prizren. Besides visiting the bookshop, you can also visit the gallery space of Pykë-Presje, just a few meters away from Bajraklia Mosque in Prizren.
Kolektiv RKS
Kolektiv Radio is a non-commercial community radio station based in Prizren, promoting underground music from the region and all around the world. In front of Destill, you can spot a door that sends you right above where you can enjoy music, participate in jam sessions and have fun.
