SHKODRA ELEKTRONIKE

The music project of two Albanians who emigrated to Italy in the early 1990s (musician/producer Kolë Laca and singer/songwriter Beatriçe Gjergji), Shkodra Elektronike’s entire ethos is to revitalise Albania’s, rich, uncharted musical traditions, fusing ancestral folk melodies with contemporary, Tallava-adjacent sonic soundscapes. The outcome is thrilling: Gjergji’s sweeping honeyed vocals cut through by Laca’s moody, guttural synths.
Over the years, they have performed at some of the major ethno-alternative festivals around Europe, including Paléo Festival (Geneva), EXIT Festival (Novi Sad), BALKAN:MOST Festival (Veszprém), and Pin Music Conference (Sofia), as well as playing in Prizren at Autostrada Biennale. These performances culminated in their appearance at this year’s edition of Eurovision, where their track ‘Zjerm’ became a favourite and was deservedly ranked by CNN as the competition’s best song.
It’s easy to see why they’re so sought after—describing their unique style as post-immigrant pop, their hypnotic grooves are awash in layered rushes of staggered vocals, thrilling tribal beats, orchestral folktronica backing tracks and propulsive percussion interludes, the combination of traditional Albanian compositions and forward-thinking party-starters reverberating to the bone.
The regular ticket price for this performance is €20; however, with a Procredit bank account/card, you can purchase the ticket for only 15.
