PULSE OF BERAT

Tickets

In a concert honouring Berat's heritage as on the crossroads between the pre-Ottoman period and European influence, producers Oda3 present Pulse of Berat, another chapter in Albania's rich lineage of traditional music. Featuring veteran singers, virtuoso instrumentalists and a free-wheeling spirit, the stage of Kino Lumi will transform into one big celebration on August 9th.

Through the services of Oda3, a team of music producers and specialists across Europe, a diverse group of expert singers and instrumentalists all hailing from Berat were brought together to make an entirely live album. The outcome, City of 1000 Windows, is a resplendent testament to traditional Albanian music, brimming with joy, passion and collective spirit—a true representation of the urban folk music of Berat’s past and present, with songs that reflect the city’s heritage as on the crossroads between the pre-Ottoman period and European influence. The musicians that comprise this ensemble include the veteran singers Petrit Berisha and Ludmilla Baballëku and the immensely talented instrumentalists Mehmet Topi (clarinet), Albi Kadëna (accordion), Florenc Qafa (accordion), Altin Nuka (Albanian lute), Adrian Hodaj (dajre frame drum), Lutfi Keci (guitar) and Arjanit Qafa (violin). Their collaborative musical creation is a series of celebratory melodies crafted with wild abandon, full of ever-shifting rhythms and sublime harmonies, each telling the tale of love in all its forms.

The regular ticket price for this performance is €10; however, with a Procredit bank account/card, you can purchase the ticket for only €7.
