PËRPARA: The Wrestlers RESOUNDED

Lumbardhi Experimental Ensemble brings new sonic expressions to accompany the documentary film “The Wrestlers” (1975), by Besim Sahatçiu, which explores the struggle and customs of the athletes in traditional wrestling competitions held in Gora and Opoja, near Prizren. 

Led by Ilir Bajri and crafted through a week-long workshop with the participating instrumentalists, the performance brings their musical reflections to the historical imaginary and ruptured film heritage.
