Somewhere in a remote village, it seems as if all its inhabitants, old and young, do not have much to do with their days. Perhaps from the lack of entertainment, they are eager to see something, to follow something entertaining. In the courtyard of a church, a couple in their 50s are being prepared to follow an act - which appears to be of an entertaining character. They have brought their own chairs and drinks along, just like on a picnic or comfortable to watch a movie in the cinema. Suddenly, the church leader kicks them out of the courtyard, explaining that the event we are about to see costs one ticket. The couple runs away, fed up with the grudge of non-exclusivity.

The event has clearly sparked interest in the entire community. The enthusiasm of the crowd grows, and their number fills the churchyard, keeping perfectly the tempo of this trill. We soon realize that a young man will jump from the top of the church, performing an acrobatic act! It is not known who had it in his mind to organize this bizarre event and what could be its fatal purpose.

It is even harder to understand the entertaining element here. But this cannot stop the crowd, which is seized by the desire to follow the spectacle, which will clearly have a tragic end. After the act that lasts a few seconds, surprisingly, the gathered start to get upset, shouting their frustration at some of the politicians present. Politicians enter the church. The crowd continues to yell and collect things. The community becomes even more distracted after the death of the hero. The Death of a Hero directed by Karin Franz Körlof manages to ironize today's confused human relations, mediated by the flow of absurdist images.
