As a proud sponsor of DokuFest, IPKO aims to be a positive force in the lives of every community member by supporting cultural and educational activities, says Afrika Zyferi, Head of Communications Unit. In an interview with DokuStories, Zyferi explains more the collaboration with DokuFest and how IPKO is committed to staying close to the community and supporting the growth and development of youth and culture in Kosovo.
DS: How does DokuFest inspire you to support activities within the independent cultural scene of Kosovo?
Zyferi: DokuFest inspires us to invest in the cultural richness of our community by bringing films and visitors from all over the world to Prizren. This International Documentary and Short Film festival not only promotes art and culture but also encourages debate on current topics. As a proud sponsor of DokuFest, IPKO is committed to staying close to the community and supporting the growth and development of our youth and culture. We believe that through this festival, we contribute to promoting a rich and accessible artistic environment for everyone.
DS: What are the aims of IPKO in supporting such cultural activities that connect local and international artists with the audience?
Zyferi: IPKO aims to be a positive force in the lives of every community member by supporting cultural and educational activities. Sponsoring DokuFest helps promote art and culture and encourages debate on current topics. This festival brings together local and international artists with a broad audience, creating a rich platform for the exchange of ideas and experiences. Through this support, IPKO aims to strengthen cultural ties and foster an open and rich environment for creativity, contributing to the development of a more connected and inspired community.
DS: How does all this fit with your engagements to connect with community through technology and cultural development?
Zyferi: Our commitment to strengthening community ties through technology and cultural engagement is reflected in a series of initiatives. As part of DokuFest, IPKO organized and supported DokuKids workshop for children aged 12-15, offering them the opportunity to develop skills in creating videos using mobile phones. This educational initiative helps develop the technological skills of the youth. Additionally, we have rewarded some lucky customers with free tickets to the festival, encouraging them to participate in this cultural event. Moreover, in our tent during the festival, we are presenting our latest products and services, including special offers for mobile telephony, digital TV and internet, as well as Diaspora packages. These actions align with our commitment to providing innovative solutions and supporting the cultural and educational development of the community.
