The Expanded Cinematic Practice & Collective Authorship: A Conversation with Louis Henderson (Logical Revolts curation)

Join Pamela Cohn in conversation with this year’s spotlight guest, Louis Henderson, an artist invested in diving deep into whatever subject matter captivates his imagination, a maker interested in configuring bespoke roadmaps to explore the ways in which the historicity or archeology of post-colonialism, politics and anthropology converge with a focus as he puts it “on the written, aural and visual signatures of the archaic on the contemporary world”. Since his training at the London College of Communication and Le Fresnoy – the National Contemporary Art Studio in Paris, Louis has approached his research, writing and film work as distinct collaborations with other artists, scholars, historians and curators to address and question our current global condition as defined by past, present and future racial capitalism. There will be a selection of clips and topics that offset the film programmes and lots of journeys and bends in the road that inhabit Louis’ imagination and curiosity. There will be a post-conversation Q&A with attendees.
