An intimate conversation between the programmers was what closed the DokuTalks session in this edition of DokuFest. Series of events that further connected the audience with the filmmakers of the films they saw in the city's cinemas. Under the careful moderation of Dea Gjinovci, every day DokuTalks managed to bring people close to them who not only listened but became an organic part of the discussions.

The eighth and last DokuTalk for this edition, which happened to be this Friday, brought together in a conversation Veton Nurkollarin, as artistic director of DokuFest, Maike Mia Höhne as artistic director and artistic director of the Hamburg Short Film Festival, and Rodolfo Castillo-Morales as Program Director Festival Internacional de Cine en Guadalajara.

All those present shared among themselves and with the public their experiences in building a film festival, starting from the festivals they are a part of and of course the festivals they have visited.

"We are witnessing that we are currently at one end of radicalism. But it is very important that not only we who are in charge but all of us, it is important to be attentive to the way we behave and how we take things," said Nurkollari at the beginning of his speech.

While the other panelists also shared their impressions on the approach of the festival organizers toward the audience and other people.

As Rodolfo Castillo-Morales shared his perspective on the festival he is in charge of.

"There is something interesting about the festival because the festival is a soldier of the university, which is the second largest public university in Mexico. We are funded by the university and do not belong to the rest of what we do. So it's kind of weird."

The other guests also shared a fantastic discussion, different and similar perspectives for different and similar contexts on what makes a film festival, the people, the films, the program, and the events.

The last DokuTalk for this edition was undoubtedly one of those that left a good taste for everyone present in Shani Efendi's garden on Friday afternoon.
