On Saturday, DokuTech continued the theme which started at DokuFest's grand opening. AI is the issue that is currently preoccupying humanity and was explored by professionals in the field. This discussion on AI and ChatGPT was part of the DokuTech activities at DokuFest, and took place today at the Innovation and Training Park.
This is DokuTech's 10th edition on the combination art and technology and this year's theme was “Bringing the future closer, together.”
University of Arizona professor, Pavan Turaga, was the first to speak. He spoke about AI's potential to transform the creative industry, as well as the limitless challenges and opportunities it presents to human creativity. During the presentation, Professor Turaga visually explained the meaning of the basic phenomena of different media, including images, videos, and photographs.
After this, a discussion on the topic "Acceleration of the representation of women in the world of Artificial Intelligence" was led by Teuta Sahatqija (Ambassador of the Women in Tech Kosovo organization). 4 fantastic panelists were invited to explore this topic: Professor Pavan Turaga, Head of the Future Expertise Center and Director of Women in Tech Holland, Lieke Lamb, University of Pristina Professor, Arbnor Pajaziti and Hafize Bajrami, Head of the Section for Cyber Protection from the Ministry of Defense.
This panel focused on the current status of women's representation in the Artificial Intelligence industry, identifying challenges they face, and determining the need for interventions to ensure equality, diversity, and fairness.
The Professor of Robotics at the University of Pristina, Arbnor Pajaziti, highlighted the opportunities provided by Artificial Intelligence and how we can use it efficiently.
"I think we should focus more on what Artificial Intelligence can do in the future, but also to be careful how we use it."
DokuTech activities continue on August 6 at the Innovation and Training Park.
