Yesterday's DokuNights began with Lyra Pamuk, an amazing artist based in Berlin. Her performance had an ethereal atmosphere as she blended her vocals with digital sounds. She provided a captivating performance like a sound diary, allowing the audience to explore the influences and stories of how her performance developed.
Pamuk started off singing in choirs and today, she is a multifaceted artist with a unique stage presence and enticing performances.
Her vocals expanded through the walls of Lumbardhi, with a mesmerizing and intricate rhythm.
Lyra Pamuk said she was excited to be in Prizren and it was her first time hearing Space Afrika, a duo from England. Their musical genre encompasses amp urban sounds and haunting and immersive rhythms mixed with futuristic sounds.
The night did not end then, because the Islandman and Ujpagaz awaited us at Andrra Stage. While the crowd walked from Lumbardhi to Andrra Stage, a preview of what was to come could be heard in the distance, as Islandman first took to the stage.
Islandman’s upbeat and electronic compositions shifted into a mythical performance and an exploration of sounds that are rooted in culture.
As Islandman announced their presence in DokuNights while scoring on the basketball field where the disco ball is set, it is safe to say they won the game and our hearts.
Then came Uj Pa Gaz, a musician and producer from Kosovo, and the energy just kept on going. His music merged with the set thanks to his many instruments, combining rhythm so that the crowds stayed on and on.
Prizren's DokuFest offers a huge variety of places to watch films and attend club nights. Your heart belongs to no other.
We welcome you to explore the ongoing program at DokuNights. Today (9/8/23), we cannot wait to hear Josh Caffe, Johnny Aux, and Gemza at Andrra Stage starting from 00:00.
