Synopsis

An Italian cineaste, Massimo, arrives by ferry from across the Adriatic Sea to the Balkan nation of Albania.  During the Second World War, Massimo's grandfather, Antonio, died in a mountain battlefield in this remote corner of Eastern Europe.  Massimo takes a personal journey along the same path Antonio did, reflecting on the universal truths that bind us together.

Director Biography

Albanian filmmaker Mentor Selmani graduated in 2015 from the Marubi Film and MultiMedia Academy in Tirana. An avid editor, Mentor shoots, edits and does areal drone photography. In the past years through his company “Hija films” Mentor has produced various nature documentaries, music videos and commercials, most notably the “Albanian postcards” projects in collaboration with Albanian cities municipalities. His student film produced in China, “Eventually Everything Connects” won third prize among a competition of over 100 international films.
