Homelands

Synopsis

A young woman discovers her grandmother's mountain village, which she fled during the Greek
Civil War. There, she faces ruins and oblivion. The summer brings her back to the village, along
with a feeling of imminent change.

Director Biography

Jelena Maksimovic is a film editor and director born in Belgrade, SFR Yugoslavia. She graduated editing at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. She has edited films that have been shown at film festivals such as Cannes, Venice, Berlinale, Toronto FF, Locarno, Rotterdam, Hot Docs, FID Marseille, Sarajevo and many others.
