Synopsis

An angel, a wolf child, a cat. The film “Daewit”, animated in the tradition of wood cut technique, tells the story of an abandoned child, who grows up with wolfs after his mother rescued him from his violent father. Daewit becomes a man who is weary of living and noticed that he inherited some of his father’s characteristics. After an enigmatic journey full of privations and in quest for identity he finds his peace in forgiveness.

Director Biography

David Jansen (* January 7th 1981 in Wipperfuerth, Germany). After school he did an apprenticeship to become a mechanic for plastic and caoutchouc technologies. Afterwards he did an internship at Columbia Tristar in Script Development followed by work for Sony Pictures. At time of Sony Pictures he did his first own short films. From 2006-2012 he studied at Academy for Media Arts, Cologne in the animation film class of Raimund Krumme and Stéphanie Beaugrand.
