Born in 1986, in Georgia, Mariam Khatchvani studied Film Directing at the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film State University. She directed many short documentaries: Verdzoba (2006), Beyond the Window (2007), and Lichanishi and Kvirikoba (2009). Dinola (2013) is her first fiction short.
