Toto, Andreea and Ana have a strong sibling bond. With their mother in prison, they must rely on each other and their relatives. But now these relatives are coming to their suburban Bucharest apartment to take drugs and Ana (17) descends into addiction. Andreea (15), meanwhile, is looking for a way to escape the social trap and manages to arrange a place in a foster home for herself and Toto (10). Facing an uncertain future, the siblings do not lose their faith in themselves and hope that the family will one day be together again. With its intimate camerawork, the film draws the viewer fully into the life of these outsiders. A life in which they have to fight hard for whatever chances they get.
