Raju

Synopsis

Shortly after Jan and Sarah Fischer picked up their adoptive child, 4-year old Raju, from an orphanage in Kolkata, it disappears without a trace. The Indian Police gives them little hope and Jan begins to search for the child by himself. He discovers an unpleasant truth: Raju still has natural parents and they are searching for their son. The adoption agency must have used illegal methods to provide them with a child. When the child reappears Sarah has no idea about what her husband has found out.

Director Biography

1997 film internship in Hamburg. Since 2004 freelance work as film editor and director for diverse commercials, video clips and short movies. 2008 - 2010 postgraduate film studies in directing at the Hamburg Media School (M.A.).
