It is the last summer before the world is set a blaze in 1939. In a small village of Southern Ostrobotnia called Nurmoo a team is getting ready to challenge the nations of the world in a wrestling match. Under the leadership of their captain Erkki the team withdraws from all daily activities to the plains focusing solely on the sport by taking part in a special training camp program. The girls of the village follow the team and set their camp up on the opposite side of the river.
Directors' Biography
<p>Born 1980, has directed short films like Daughters of Snow, “Mutalan raitilla – The Road of Mutala” and “The Sacrifice”, the music videos “Under Surveillance” for Destination X and “Sedena con la mia donna nel parco del parlamento” for M. A. Numminen. At the moment Rantala studies cultural production in the Humak University of Applied Sciences in Kauniainen.</p>
