Set on 1980-1999 events in Gjakova, the most war torn town from the last war in Kosovo, the film Gjakova 726 is a drama told by Vigan, a 17 years old and a very skilful boy he must take the responsibility for his family and start working since his parents get fired from their jobs. Vigan experiences a very hard life socially and psychologically fighting for the existence of his family. Based on true events!
Directors' Biography
<p>Blerta Basholli, born 1983, Prishtina, Kosovo. Studied Faculty of Arts – Movie Direction, Prishtina - Graduated 2002-still Philosophical faculty – Psychology, Prishtina – still studying 2008 NYU - Tisch School Of the Arts - Kanbar Institute - Film and Television - 1st year graduate student.</p>
<p>Artan Korenica, based in New York, has worked as a still photographer and then continued his work as a Cinematographer. He was born in Gjakova, Kosovo where he started his first work as a still photographer. He moved in New York since 2003 and continued his work in New York shooting and directing music videos, working as a Photographer assistant at Fadil Berisha Photographer Studio.</p>
