How do I get access to the digital version of the festival?
If you are located in Kosova, the Republic of North Macedonia, Albania or Serbia you can access our online cinema platform from the 7th till 25th of August. The platform can be found here.

Is there a guide where I can read about all the films?
Yes! To download the PDF catalogue of films with introductions and tips forum our programme, click here.

How long will the films be available for?
Films will be available to watch from 12:00 (BTS) 7 August until 23:59 (BTS) 25 August 2020, with the competitions available until the 15th of August. Competition programme are available from 7-15 August only while Special Programmes are available from 16-25 August.

How do I buy a ticket and watch a film?
First, create an account by clicking the “Create Account” button at the top right of the screen. Search for a film in the search bar or Browse the A-Z dropdown. Click the film thumbnail image to be taken to the film’s main page. From there you can click the “Watch” button, and you will be taken to a pop-up window where you can add your credit or debit card details (or promo code if you have one). After payment, the film will be available to watch immediately and is added to your Library. Once you click play you have 30 hours to complete viewing the film. During that time you can watch it as many times as you like. If you wish to view the film after these 30 hours have passed, you will need to purchase the film again.

What kind of tickets are available?
You can buy a ticket for an individual film, film bundles, film packages. Click here for more details.

Where are the films I paid for?
You can see the films you have paid for in your ‘Library’ in the drop-down menu under your signed-in name on the top right of any screen.

What payment methods are accepted?
All major debit and credit cards including Visa, Mastercard and AMEX are accepted.

Can I save films to a list?
Yes, click the ‘Add to My List Button’ on a film page or thumbnail, which will save the film to ‘My List’. You can find ‘My List’ under the dropdown for your account in the top right of any page.

Can I watch films from anywhere in the world?
No. You must be located in Kosovo, Republic of North Macedonia, Albania or Serbia to watch films. However, certain films will sometimes not be available in certain countries, so be sure to check whether you can purchase the film or not. The Future is Here films are available to watch worldwide.

I don’t live in any of the countries listed above, does that mean that I can’t buy tickets for online films?
Yes, it does. Unfortunately, the digital programme is only available in the listed countries.

I can’t see a Watch Button in the film I want?
If there is no Watch button on the film’s info page, it is only available as part of a shorts programme, has not been released yet, or you are trying to watch from outside the countries listed. Films in a collected package will have a link to the purchase page from their individual films page.

Is it possible for films to “sell out”?
Yes. We expect that some films will sell out faster. There are a limited number of views available for each film. Once a film sells out, it will no longer be possible for viewers to watch the film from the Library unless you are already in your watch period, have purchased it as a single film prior to the sell-out or the film is part of a curated programme.

Will there be any Q&As with the filmmakers?
Yes, certain Q&A’s will be available on our Online Platform as bonus content underneath the films that have them.

Can I download films on my computer?
No, the films are not available for download.

Which films are available for different lengths of time?
- Our competition programme films will be available from 7-15 August.
- Our Special programme films will be available from 16-25 August.
- Our DokuKids films (free of charge) will be available from 8-15 August.
- Our Future is Here film programme (free of charge) will be available to watch worldwide from 7-25 August.

Can I watch the films on my TV?
Yes. By using Chromecast or your TV’s built-in casting feature, you can cast from your browser on your device (from Chrome on Android, or Safari on iOS), or by using AirPlay to connect to an Apple TV. Alternatively, you can connect your device to your TV using an HDMI cable.

Can I watch on different devices?
When you watch a film, the device you use is registered on the Online Platform. You can register up to 2 different devices.

Will my internet be fast enough?
You will need a broadband or fibre internet connection - dial-up will not work. For further technical help click here.

Are the films translated and in which language(s)?

Yes, all the films are translated into Albanian and English. On the selected film on the bottom right, you’ll see CC button, click on it, then you will have the options to select the subtitle language.
