Synopsis:
In a middle school in Southern Italy, the final match of a heated inter-class soccer tournament becomes the unexpected battleground for a clash between Pedro - a gifted, introverted goalkeeper of foreign descent - and Annarella, a fiery, sharp-tongued striker with a flair for feints and dribbles.

Director’s Biography:
Paola Piscitelli (director): Paola Piscitelli is a filmmaker and researcher affiliated with the Film Study Centre at Harvard University. After studying urban studies, she transitioned into filmmaking, first as an autodidact, then graduating in documentary filmmaking from Milan's Luchino Visconti Film School. She was selected for the first edition of Becoming Maestre, the mentorship program promoted by the David di Donatello Awards and Netflix, and worked as an additional assistant director with Ivan Cotroneo and Paolo Sorrentino.Her works include Radio Riders (2020), co-directed with Fabio Corbellini, awarded at Job Film Days and screened at Festival dei Popoli and Ethnofest (Athens); Io non vedo il mare (2022); and the collective film L'Orto del mondo (2023).
Her debut feature documentary, Waithood (2025), premiered in the Italian Competition at the 66th Festival dei Popoli and was later selected for Laceno d'Oro, FESCAAAL, and the "Tulipani di Seta Nera International" Social Film Festival, where it received a Special Mention.
She is currently developing her second feature documentary, The Palestinian Project (working title), selected for InProgress 2026. Since 2025, she has collaborated with illustrator and visual artist Nora, beginning with The Space of Inequalities, a video installation commissioned by the 24th International Exhibition of Triennale Milano and Politecnico di Milano, combining documentary cinema with hand-drawn animation.

Nora Francesca Romana Spuri (2D animator): She studied at the"Academy of Fine Arts" in Rome, completing a three-year degree in Painting and then a specialization in Illustration and Art Publishing. She attended the "Ars in Fabula" Master's degree in illustration in Macerata. She collaborates with various publishing houses such as Piedimosca Edizioni, Rizzoli, Cliquot, ETS edizioni, and Tabularasa Edizioni. She works as a 2D animator for music videos and animated shorts, and collaborates with ANPPIA on the creation of an animated short for the centenary of Giacomo Matteotti's assassination.

Producer’s Biography:
Rocco Anelli (Bari, 1998) is a professor at The American University of Rome, a director, producer, and writer. He directed the short films “I gemelli” (available on Prime Video), “Se fossi uomo”, “Pier Paolo morto e risorto” (funded by Apulia Film Commission), “Vivremo nelle pareti” (supported by SIAE – Per Chi Crea and Apulia Film Fund), and “Animalia”. As a producer, he worked on “Sette Settimane”, which was presented during a press event at the Venice International Film Festival and was subsequently selected for the Cannes Short Film Corner. One year later, “Animalia” followed the same path, both in Venice and Cannes. He is also the producer of “Capre Diem”, starring Carla Signoris and Nunzia Schiano, with costumes designed by the two-time Academy Award nominee Massimo Cantini Parrini. He is the author of the published novel “I bagnanti” and the published essay “La costruzione triadica dell’immagine”.
