Directors' Biography
Maria Iovine is an author, director, and editor. Her first short film, In Her Shoes, won numerous national and international awards, including the Zavattini Prize and a special mention at the Visioni Italiane festival. In 2022, with Corpo a Corpo, a feature-length documentary about Paralympic athlete Veronica Yoko Plebani, she was nominated for the 2022 Nastri D'Argento and Globo D'Oro awards for Best Documentary.
