Butterfly

Hospitals are cold, unforgiving places. Especially for children who spend weeks or months within their walls, a single day can feel like a year. Every week, Paco, a retired banker, puts on a red nose and walks the halls of the children's ward at Vall d'Hebron Hospital in Barcelona. For a moment, routines break and rooms fill with laughter, offering the children a brief escape from fear and boredom alike. What remains are smiles, silence — and a butterfly.
