A sparrow, obsessed with the image of glamorous ostriches, transforms itself through fitness, beauty routines and neck-stretching. But when it finally meets a real ostrich, it learns a simple truth: no matter how hard it tries, a sparrow can never become an ostrich.
Directors' Biography
Marie Kenov (b. 1990, Basel) is a designer, illustrator, and animator based in Lucerne. Her film Sweet Nothing screened at Annecy, Sundance, and Palm Springs. Ostrich is her first short film after graduation.
