Masterclass with Oleksiy Radynski

In this workshop I will focus on two of my films (Chornobyl 22 and Special Operation) to reflect on different modalities of filmmaking as war crime documentation. Both films deal with the same war crime committed by the Russian army during the invasion of Ukraine: the military occupation of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant. While the first of the films takes a direct approach based on the interviews with the survivors, the second one is based on transformation of forensic evidence into the means of artistic expression.
