Synopsis

In February 2022, when Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the apartment my friend and I were renting in Lviv became a transit point. Friends, acquaintances and strangers were leaving for safer cities in Ukraine and abroad, and we began to host people in our apartment. Some stayed for one night, and some for several. No one stayed for long, but they all left their stories. That’s how our home became a shared home.

Director Biography

Anna Yutchenko is a documentary photographer and director, with a master's degree from the School of Journalism of UCU and the IndieLab school for young documentary filmmakers. She has directed and co-directed the following documentaries: Thus they will sing (as part of the IndieLab, 2020), Skovoroda's Axis (2022), Our home (Wiz-Art film residency, 2023), Dialogue about the sea (La Guarimba film residency, 2023), and Homefront (Zeppers production, 2024).
