After being raised in the United States, twenty-two-year-old Mikel is suddenly deported to Albania. Struggling with his new reality, he tries to find a way out.
An ocean apart, his eleven-year-old American born sister Angela, is left behind and must decide to stay or join her brother. While discovering where they belong, both find something unsuspecting.
American filmmaker(1990), originally of Albanian descent, Kreshnik studied film in Florida where he was introduced to documentary filmmaking and received his masters in film. While at university he directed short form documentaries following President Obama's 2012 campaign as his university hosted a presidential debate. Saevar Gudmundsson is an accomplished Icelandic filmmaker born in 1972. He made his mark in the industry as a Writer/Director/Editor, gaining recognition for his four highly acclaimed short films in his home country, Iceland. At the age of 25, he expanded his expertise to directing high-end commercials, both locally and internationally.
