Somewhere in an abandoned motel, where walls are covered in political slogans reminiscent of a forgotten era, robot workers have been hired to rebuild something that seems impossible to fix. Rage has taken over the working site as it seems the only thing that makes the robots smile is the anger that fills the stories they tell one another. After one of them decides to speak out, she gets reset and sent back to the factory where she was made.
Saleh Kashefi is an Iranian underground audiovisual artist whose works bring a bold lens upon contemporary Islamic youth culture, making ‘no-budget’ films which have gone on to be screened with international acclaim. A recipient of Prince Claus Seed Awards, he has made 15 short films which have been included in over 100 film festivals around the world and have won 29 awards.
