This remarkably sobering VR is the powerful result of Jeff Orlowski’s project of the same name (Audience Award: U.S. Documentary, Sundance), about the quest of a group of filmmakers and ocean scientists to provide visual proof of climate change. This exclusive underwater experience follows Zackery Rago, a passionate scuba diver and researcher, as he documented the unprecedented 2016 coral bleaching event at Lizard Island on the Great Barrier Reef off the coast of Australia.
Directors' Biography
<p>Jeff Orlowski is the founder of Exposure Labs and served as director, producer, and cinematographer on Chasing Ice, which screened at Congress, the White House and the United Nations, and has received an Academy-Award nomination for Best Original Song, and won a 2014 News and Documentary Emmy® award for Outstanding Nature Programming. Jeff served as Producer on the award-winning film, Frame By Frame, and was the inaugural Sundance Institute Discovery Impact Fellow for environmental filmmaking.</p>
