Taste of Cherry

Synopsis

An Iranian man drives his truck in search of someone who will quietly bury him under a cherry tree after he commits suicide.

Director Biography

Abbas Kiarostami was born in Tehran, Iran, in 1940. He graduated from University with a degree in Fine Arts before starting to work as a Graphic designer. He then joined the Center for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults, where he started a film section, starting his career as a filmmaker at the age of 30. Since then he has made a number of films. Abbas Kiarostami died on 4th of June this year in Paris, France.
