Synopsis

A story about the latent poisons in power, knowledge and innocence, Field Study tells the story of a young, shy student on a field trip to post-communist Poland who very abruptly comes of age when he makes the choice to withhold a truth.

Director Biography

Originally from Germany, Eva Weber is a London-based filmmaker working in both documentary and fiction. Her award-winning films have screened at numerous international film festivals, been broadcast on UK and international television, and shown at art exhibitions and museums. Her film THE SOLITARY LIFE OF CRANES was nominated for the International Documentary Association’s Distinguished Short Award and selected as one of the top five films of the year by critic Nick Bradshaw in Sight & Sound’s annual film review.
