Synopsis

Love turns us all into actors, who switch masks constantly and only reveal our true selves for a moment, when love shatters and dreams of eternal happiness wither away. Alma Har’el tracks three complicated love stories, each of which began as a rosy promise, only to end dramatically. In each of them, a vast chasm appears between the dream and reality, a chasm that Har’el exploits to direct fantasies of possible futures for her protagonists. In this bewildering film, protagonists exchange identities and learn how even marginal experiences can shape their attitudes toward love.
