Synopsis

A scene of tragedy unfolds, accompanied by fear, chaos and disbelief. As Speaking is Difficult rewinds into the past, retracing our memories, it tells a story about a cumulative history that is both unbearable and inevitable.

Director Biography

Aj Schnack is a nonfiction filmmaker and writer based in Los Angeles. He is, with Laura Poitras and Charlotte Cook, one of the co-creators of Field of Vision, a visual journalism unit that produces short form and episodic documentaries on ongoing events.
