Synopsis

When a twenty-three year old Kosovar man attempts to illegally migrate to the European Union, an Albanian filmmaker decides to follow him on his journey. On the way, the doc maker reflects on his own past and the intentions behind the film he is making.

Director Biography

Gazmir Lame, born in Tepelene, Albania in 1978. Lame studied history in the southern Albanian town of Gjirokastra before pursuing the craft of film editing in the capital, Tirana. From 2009 to 2011, he continued his film studies in the United Kingdom at Brookes University in Oxford. Returning to Albania in 2013, Gazmir Lame went to work as a director for the television network ABC News in Tirana.
