The Time of A Young Man About to Kill

Synopsis

In the mountains of Northern Albania, a young man seeks revenge for his father’s death. The murderer has disappeared a few months ago and the police is still looking for him. The young man kidnaps the killer’s only son and raises him up until he reaches his 16th birthday, when according to the Kanun, the Albanian law of revenge, a child becomes a man and he is allowed to kill or to be killed.

Director Biography

Neritan Zinxhiria was born in April 1989 in Tirana, Albania. In the winter of 1990, his family immigrates to Greece. In 2008, he was awarded as the Best Newcomer Director in the IShFF in Drama for his first short film “The best bride”. His second film “Chamomile”, won the Golden Horseman at the 2013 Dresden IShFF, followed by other 40 worldwide selections and 18 awards. He is currently preparing his first feature film in Greece.
