Synopsis

“Out of Sight” is a documentary short that explores what it means to be an Albanian child in the new millennium. The film looks at Albania through the eyes and stories of 4 children that live across the country in different social and economic conditions. On the suburbs of major cities there is extreme poverty. Some of these children lack basic needs such as health, safety and education. Their stories, voices and dreams offer some insight into the present and give a first-hand glimpse into the future of the country.

Director Biography

Paul Kurti is an Albanian-Canadian filmmaker. He is the director of an award-winning feature film, short films, documentaries and music videos. He received a filmmaking diploma in New York and his work has screened at various festivals around the world and broadcasted on television. He is the grandson of the renowned Albanian actress Tinka Kurti.
