A young woman tells her story of what it’s like to live in a family who is run by men that has a different view of what we know as Honor. Her whole life changed the day her brother found a photo of her, and a classmate dancing at the prom.
Fitore Osmanaj was born in Kosovo in 1990. Her family moved to Sweden when she was 9 years old due to the war that occurred between the serbs, and the albanians.
When applying to high school she wanted to study Media, due to the interest in filmmaking, but changed her mind in the last minute when her student counsellor told her that she will never find any jobs after graduation in that department in Sweden. After three years of studying Hotel & restaurant management Fitore graduated with the best grades in her class. By the time of the graduation she had grown tired of the business and chose to head off to America to study Fashion Design, but left it due to lack of interest.
