Tea and cake, stilettos and gentle murmurs; old ladies in an Essex church welcome a towering transvestite into their midst. But families ask questions that polite old ladies do not dare; this is an observational film about courage, family and the cost of being happy.
Amy is a freelance filmmaker, mainly making documentaries. She did a Masters in Directing at Edinburgh College of Art, where she made Kirran and the Hatchmaker. Amy also works as a documentary and music camera person, and worked in TV for a few years before going to ECA.
