Synopsis

“Camp Victory, Afghanistan” follows a battle-weary Afghan General and the steady stream of American and Italian soldiers deployed to “train” him and his men. Filmed over the course of five years, with unprecedented access, it becomes the story of a friendship between this Afghan General and one working-class American soldier struggling against all odds, including their own superiors, to bring peace and stability to the region.

Director Biography

Having been a veteran documentary editor for twenty-five years, CVA is her first directorial effort. She has cut features and documentaries, most notable “Rain” (2001, exec prod Martin Scorsese), “Santitos” ( 1999 Production Director, Alejandro Springall), “Deadline” and many others. She is currently a professor at NYU Grad Film School in New York City.
