Debauched halo

An educated young woman yields to society’s expectations and tries to find a man. In this process, she must undergo various inner and outward changes, subtle and times, violent at others, but always managed by others. Visually, the film plays with a surprisingly broad array of conventions that combine to expose a highly artificial construct, which reflects the values and standards internalised by the protagonist.
