Directors' Biography
<p>Chai grew up between New York City and Rio de Janeiro. She graduated from Princeton University in 2000 with a B.A. in Comparative Literature. Her documentary debut, ‘A Normal Life’, co-directed with Hugo Berkelewy, won the Best Documentary Award at the 2003 Tribeca Film Festival. Youssou Ndour: I Bring What I Love marks Varashelyi’s first feature length documenatry film.</p>
