Linda Lulla, manager of the project ‘Schools and Documentaries’ visited Prague on the week of 1-5 April, where she attended a meeting with the organizers of film clubs of the partner organization, One World Festival.
High School Professors from Kosovo who are part of the project, Enver Sulan and Dafina Morina, visited Prague together with Lulla. During their stay, the professors had the chance to visit the school film clubs in Prague and meet with teachers and students there. The teachers from Kosovo had the opportunity to share their experience with their colleagues from Czech Republic, who are using documentary film as an educational tool for more than 10 years.
‘Schools and Documentaries’ project is implemented in cooperation with One World Festival and supported by National Endowment for Democracy NED. Through this project, DokuFest has provided high schools with documentary films on the theme of human rights and has published a manual on documentary films and their usage as an educational tool for human rights topics in high schools in Kosovo.
In continuation of the project this year, DokuFest is promoting the manual in other high schools in Prizren and Prishtina. Also, the three film clubs that were created in High Schools in Prizren and Suhareka will continue to organize film screenings and debates twice a month.
