We are happy to announce that DokuFest artistic director Veton Nurkollari is now a member of the European Film Academy.
Founded in 1988, the European Film Academy now unites 2,800 European film professionals with the common aim of promoting Europe’s film culture. Throughout the year, the EFA initiates and participates in a series of activities dealing with film politics as well as economic, artistic, and training aspects. The programme includes conferences, seminars and workshops, and a common goal is to build a bridge between creativity and the industry. These activities culminate in the annual presentation of the European Film Awards, which annually honour the greatest achievements in European cinema
As an EFA member, Nurkollari initiated the screening of SHORT Matters programme at this year’s Dokufest, to be held from August 17-25 in Prizren. The Programme includes the short films nominated for the European Film Awards and it will also screen at a series of festivals around the world. Among other activities, Nurkollari will also submit and recommend films for participation at the European Film Awards, taking place in Berlin on 7 December 2013
