Directors' Biography
Dea Gjinovci is a Swiss-Albanian director and producer whose films have screened at major festivals including Tribeca, IDFA, DokuFest, Visions du Réel, and CPH:DOX. Known for blending poetic storytelling, magical realism, and cinéma vérité, she has received awards at Visions du Réel, ZagrebDox, and DokuFest. A Sundance alumna and member of the Swiss and European Film Academies, she was nominated for Best Documentary at the 2022 Swiss Film Awards for Wake Up on Mars.
