Renunciation

Synopsis

‘Renunciation’ portrays a Catholic priest who, instead of becoming a professional artist in his youth, decided to serve God and the people. Yet, no one can hide from himself or herself completely, and the artist’s nature constantly manifests itself in every step the priest takes.

Director Biography

Ieva Epnere was born in 1977 in Latvia. She makes photographs, videos and installations. She graduated in 2003 from the academy of fine arts of Latvia (Master Arts). And she currently studies at the Institut supérieur des arts in Gand, Belgium.
