Synopsis

A documentary presenting the truest and intimate portrait of the Master of Polish Cinema, the winner of the Academy Award for the Lifetime Achievement. It shows Andrzej Wajda’s struggle on the set of his most personal film “Katyń”: a story of Polish army officers murdered by Soviets. In 2008 “Katyń” was nominated to the Oscar.

Director Biography

Maciej Cuske was born in 1972 in Bydgoszcz, Poland. A graduate of the documentary course at the Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing.
Marcin Sauter was born in 1971 in Bydgoszcz, Poland. A graduate of the documentary course at the Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing. As a photographer, he works now for the biggest journals in Poland.
Piotr Stasik was born in 1976. After graduating from the Department of Social Sciences at Warsaw University, he has completed a documentary course at the Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing.
Thierry Paladino was born in 1981 in Nice. A graduate of the documentary course at the Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing, in Warsaw.
