The ravages of war, as witnessed by a nine-year-old boy, shape history in this short personal documentary. Igor Drljača masterfully assembles family video footage from his nineties boyhood in Sarajevo, recollecting through narration an old fear that his desperate attempts to avoid a poor grade on an art assignment have lead to a devastating civil war.
Born in 1983 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Igor completed his BFA (2007) and MFA (2011) at York University in Toronto. Igor is an award winning filmmaker who is currently finalizing his first feature film. His recent short films include; Woman in Purple (2010) and On a Lonely Drive (2009).
