Synopsis

‘The Blockade’ depicts the most massive, longest and politically the most important student protests in this country - the blockade of the Zagreb Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in April and May 2009. The film crew functioned as insider documenters of the Independent Initiative for Free Education, taking part in the entire process as both active participants and media coverage providers. Thus, the film is not only an author’s project, but also a result of the students’ participation in the fight for free education that has been going on to the present-day.
