Synopsis

This film presents a different perspective on the “Water War” held in Bolivia. A mother who lost a son, an Army General who was ordered to send his troops against his own hometown, a homeless man who became a hero and a single father who harvests flowers help shape the supposed triumph of the Cochabamba Water War.

Director Biography

Born in Monterrey, Mexico, in 1982. He studied Industrial Engineering and in 2005 directed De nadie, his first documentary feature that won the Audience Award at Sundance 2006. Ríos de hombres won several grants, among them one from the Sundance Institute and the Tribeca Film Institute.
