Venus vs. Me

Synopsis

Entangled in a realm of thought, twelve-year-old Marie has trouble growing up. When her young mother brings home a new boyfriend, questions remain unanswered and communication seems impossible. Frenetic, Marie tries to win back her mother, while she silently finds solace in a world of memories.

Director Biography

Born in 1985, she graduated from the Belgian film school KASK in Ghent in 2007. Besides her short films, she has also made several music videos, as well as a multimedia performance
“Send All Your Horses”, which merged film and theatre. She is currently working on her first feature film.
