In February 2008, the former Yugoslav province of Kosovo declares its independence and the European Union starts restoring the Rule of Law in this newborn and disputed country. Dutch judge Angela Kaptein gives up her regular job to join the biggest European civil mission ever – EULEX. Angela is sent to Mitrovica, a divided city in the North of Kosovo, where Serbs and Albanians are living in separation since the war. The courthouse is closed and partly demolished. The city is a legal vacuum. Will Angela manage to reopen the court and restore the Rule of Law?
An independent director of documentaries for public television and cinema, after a study in film theory at the University of Utrecht and an education at the Art Academy of Tilburg, he started working as a sound technician and video editor on a wide variety of projects. In the meantime directing documentaries raised his interest, and are currently his main occupation.
